Arrived Unusable
Product arrived without the internal SATA cables. The IDE set was there and connected and worked fine but no SATA. Called Sabrant and they suggested an exchange. New item arrived and guess what. No SATA internals AGAIN.

Sturdy Case
This is a nice enclosure,had no problem with the fit, installed easy ,formatted my hard drive, it's Farley quiet . Thinking of buying another one.

Sabrent EC-UEIS7
Product works fine and easy to set up. I installed in and tried out the Sata and then used an older IDE 80 Gig drive and it works fine as an external USB drive. It does not come with an external SATA cable to connects to read of the unit to the computer but does come with a USB connection cable. So if you have some older drive laying around you can have a fairly large external USB backup drive fairly cheap.

to tight, broke pins on HD
the fit of the ribbon cable into the HD is such that you have to force it. The strain on the HD pins is that it broke mine.

Is exactly what I needed for a Fair Price.
I bought this to test some IDE & SATA HDDs to verify they were OK performance-wise, without having to open my PC case. It did the job exactly as I hoped. Quickly installing and removing HDDs, both IDE & SATA, is a snap. The HDDs are all now in service in my and my Grandsons' PCs, and the enclosure with HDD is now my Wife's laptop backup drive (She loves the blue lights), easily turned off and disconnected when she take the laptop to her business. Downsides: The instructions could be more detailed regarding installing both types of HDD for inexperienced users. And, the installed IDE feels almost too tight when closing the enclosure, but it really does fit!

good product, but not complete
case works as advertised. Simple to assemble. Works with both older IDE and newer SATA drives. Connects with both USB and eSATA. My only complaint is that although it comes with a USB cable, it does not have a eSATA cable.

works and price was good
Works as advertised. Snug fit, so not much drive swapping is going to happen. Power plug was just a tad sloppy on this one, otherwise good.
