Is the best CPU that I bought ever, fast and easy to OverClock, only I found a point to optimize, is much more hot than the Athlon X2 5000+.
I'm great with my purchase.
Thanks!!
very very good all around

Upgraded to this from AMD 64 FX-51 (single core 2.2GHz). The increase in speed was far beyond my expectations. Easily runs at 3.4GHz (200MHz above stock) with no appreciable heat increase or any loss in stability. Can be pushed further but haven't found a need. Can encode hi-def movies while playing Crysis while acting as a media server for my XBox 360. Most powerful PC I have ever used at 1/5th the cost I paid for the FX-51 when it came out years ago. Configured with Asus M4A79T Deluxe (Excellent!), 4GB OCZ Reaper DDR3, 60GB OCZ Vertex SSD, and Sapphire Radeon 4870 1GB DDR5. Using Vista Ultimate 64 as OS. Windows 7 64 will likely show even better performance juding from the current release candidate. You will not be disappointed.

Just finished swapping out my single core on an ASUS Kn8 to a Phenom II 940 3.0 using this mobo, 8gb of Ram on a Vista 64 op. Everything worked perfectly and all my software restored without a hitch. The HD output eliminated the need for a seperate video card. My resource intensive 3D video editing software is as smooth as silk. And of course the Tiger service was outstanding as always.

Its no secret there is a 955 am3 out at the time of this review for me, rather then pay another extra few beans for ddr3 support, i stuck to the 940 am2+, dont be scared kids, this thing pretty much is a gorilla in the mist. You know that little thing in the pc world we call processing power. Great price at $ 200 at the time of this review. plenty of power in cpu aspects

Built a gaming pc and threw this baby in there. All those Intel lovers who still seem to be laying dead in my path in all my current games. Upgrade is unbelievable from a 1.8Ghz Centrino processor, but also seems to run just as cool. Stock fan and heatsink do a better job than any other stock cooler i've ever seen. Very well made and performance is crazy. Even multi-tasking, and running games this sucker doesn't even get past 40% load. Love this processor.

Works as expected. Solid build quality. From what I could see, work was shared rather evenly over 4 core while installing software and watching hi-def video on Hulu.com. Total CPU usage topped out at 30%.

I use to buy only Intel processor but I recently switch to AMD for the better price. Actually, the performances are also better. By the way, the supplied fan looks excellent.
