I purchased this device along with a Sansa E260 MP3 player and Motorola H500 headphone so my wife could work in the garden and listen to downloaded audio books from the library. She has done this for years with wired headsets, but is constantly breaking the wires or getting them snagged on plants. This was my first experience with bluetooth. I could not get the IOGEAR transmitter and Motorola headphone to establish a connection. After 3 calls to the IOGEAR tech support, I learned that this device requires a headphone that supports the A2DP profile. This profile allows for the transmission of stereo audio. After much searching, I learned that very few headsets support this profile as they are primarily aimed at cell phones. After purchasing a Jabra A2DP headset the Iomega transmitter is connecting and working fine. My only criticism would be the approximately five hour battery life. |
