Seagate Momentus 5400 500GB 2.5
Purchased this little beauty to fill in one of my expansion cases. Plugged it my USB 3.0 and it really outperformed the specs. With this Ultra expansion case and drive you have a great area to store your favourite utilities, especially when you have to fix every Uncle and their sons and daughters machine. I give it 5 stars across the board.

Don't Buy
This came in my Acer laptop, and had major sectors problems after 4 months. Seagate won't take it back, and Acer will accept but only in the laptop and shipping will be about $30 bucks to get another terribly designed drive. What to do? Don't buy this drive, you will not be a happy camper if you do.

Looking for another brand that will work
This HD failed two weeks after the warranty ended, it came in a asus WIN.7 system that I bought new for my Daughter, I will not buy a ASUS computer again or any other computer that has this kind of HARD DRIVE

Upgrade
Bought this to upgrade my Presario C751NR laptop. I'm going to clone the OEM software from the OEM harddrive. Revising: The Hard drive bluescreens and I'm ashamed of Seagate.

I wouldn't waste MY money
This hard drive came in a Win 7 Asus which completely died last week. 2 Weeks after the one year warranty. Everything was lost. I could not recover any info myself so I brought it to multiple computer companies - they said it was kuput.

stay away from this drive
Only last 1 year, and die while running on my Mac mini. After I took it out and connect to other mac using USB adapter, DiskUtility somehow see this bad drive as 2.2TB instead of 500 G. I can not format nor do anything. It supports to be 5 years warranty

Stop making fake reviews!!!
Guilty: alphaprime and theq1983....you are an employee. I plan on buying this HD and shipping it overseas to me...(I have 3 Barracuda drives, with my life on them) but fakers posting the same 5 star review(except for 2 words)over and over doesn't inspire confidence. No 2 minds are that alike....i am gonna buy it for the Discwizard cloning feature anyway(BEST THING EVER)....but you're not helping...you're not doing your job well. Be original, or quit... Hooray for packing peanuts!!! Please use a lot in mine please...
