I've used older versions of Dragon and this clearly is much better. It still has issues with command execution that require you keep you mouse close by if you want to get everything done.
Voice accuracy is quite good and understanding inflections and variation don't seem to be an issue. A "must" is making certain you have a good quality microphone since I find the provided headset to be uncomfortable if you spend more than 15-20 minutes using it. |

Not perfect, but best program of its type I have found to date. Proofreading still mandatory, because the program still seems to have difficulty with small words such as a,an & it. Would be nice if it offered choices in cases of uncertainty. For example should it spell a name Kathy or Cathy. Having to train it to handle new words such as unusual last names can be a bit irritating, but understandable. This review was dictated using the product because even with its flaws it is still much more accurate and quicker than typing it by hand. |

If I were using the computer with dragon Naturally Speaking 10 installed,I would be dictatint this review instead of laboriously typing it, whuch for me is a real chore.
The product works far better than I expected. Are there mistakes? of course, some because the pprogram misses, often because I am still learning to speak clearly, avoid the use of command words (such as "correct") and hesitating or making false starts. Dictation takes practice.
The initial practice reading of selected texts went very smoothly. I immediately dictated some letters and a newsletter article with remarkably good results.
For me, the cleanup editing of the expected mistakes was far faster and more comfortable that typing the whole bunch (and would have eliminated much rework on this review).
Five stars for the program and two for my dictation skills. |

Years ago I bought version 5 and it worked pretty well - this is light years ahead of that version. |
