Good product for the application
I wanted an inexpensive way to connect a VGA only computer to a vintage 2000 wide screen rear projection TV with HD component inputs. I've only had it for a month now, but so far it does that as advertised, ingesting any VGA resolution to a variety of component resolutions including my maximum 1080i. Did have to futz with input resolution a bit to get one that had minimal overscan (both vertical and horizontal) on the TV. I would have thought that input of 1920 x 1080 would have been best as that matches the TV format, but ended up using 1280 x 720. My setup does not allow easy use of the VGA loop out, which could be useful as using TV as only monitor is a challenge (fonts are hard to read), but streamed video is beautiful. Thus, my primary goal was achieved for an acceptable price.
