I was very pleased when I unpacked this PC. A disk would have been nice with the drivers but it was no big deal at all to go to their site and download them. The site ask for the serial number then it gives you a list of drivers. Click on each one and get them downloading. A few minutes later, start the install! Everything worked great and is running very stable. It was nice being able to turn out a good PC without having to take the time to put it together. Saves a bunch of time. It is being used in an office environment running the standard Excel, Quickbooks, etc. and I could not be more pleased with its performance. Would GLADLY purchase another! |

I needed a new computer for everyday web surfing, a little web design and photo editing, and watching movies online. Was trying to decide between building my own desktop with high-end components or investing in a nice laptop. Found this computer at a great price. Couldn't be happier with it. The hardware isn't gamer-quality but it's enough for me with room to upgrade. Getting XP on it was as painless as a dentist visit with no cavities, but you definitely need a second computer with internet to get the drivers. |

Very good solid home or small office PC. Room to grow if needed. Loaded XP with no problems, rock solid, no crashes etc. My only issue was tracking down the sound codec and driver and I needed to buy a DVD codec. Not a big deal. The on-board sound and video is more than adequate for my needs. Here's a hint: Have an old PC Subwoofer lying around? Plug it into the 'line-out'' jack' or let the included software do it's thing. Sounds great! Much faster than my 5 year old PC. This really is all the PC most people need unless you are into heavy gaming. I upgraded the Ram to 4GB in case I up-grade to another operating system. Might try Win 7 or Linux on a separate partican. But after countless up-dates XP Pro is working very well and is the most stable revision of Windows I've used. It likes my wireless router and other add-ons What else can I say? BUY ONE and have fun adding only the software you want without all the crap-ware! |

Purchased this to replace a 4 year old computer my wife uses for her home transcryption business.
She is not a gamer, so the on board video is more than adequate for her purposes.
As others have pointed out, loading the drivers was the toughest part. We have another computer, so just downloaded the drivers to that computer and transfered them by USB memory stick. Used a Maxtor Max Blast 4 disc to format and transfer all files and settings from her old hard drive to the new hard drive. The whole set-up took less than 2 hours.
Her new computer works great and is more than fast enough for her needs. All in all, a great buy. Couldn't build one myself for the $300.00 price of this unit. |

I wonder why a FREE downloadable Operating System can automatically supply me with all necessary drivers, when those of you who paid for an OS are left wanting? Install went without a hitch. Everything worked great. It's a screamer using LINUX. |

I am an IT director and purchased one of these for a user in the office. I was floored to find there was no Driver disk inclosed. The machine works great after you spend the hours to download the drivers and install them. Even off my T3 connection the average download speed for these drivers was only 9 KB per s. Trust me when I say I will NEVER order one of this companies computers again. I ended up getting the drivers from the motherboard producer directly and would recommed it if you do get one of these machines. |

Purchased Six of these for use as workstations on a network domain. Per other posters, you will need a functional PC with internet in order to download drivers to complete the installation of your operating system. Once all drivers are installed, system performs very well. Front USB ports are installed upside down, however in my case I simply unplugged them to prevent users from using them in the first place! PC is quiet, and comes with a nice Microsoft USB Keyboard and a No Name USB optical mouse. In the units I purchased, the two memory slots were both populated - 1 slot with 1024 "Rendition" branded DIMM, and 2nd slot with 2048 "Crucial" branded DIMM. - Crucial Memory in a TigerUSA/CompDirect barebones - Who would have believed that?! For $325.00 (299.00 + NC Sales Tax) it's a lot of computer for the money. These are not power house gaming machines, however I suspect the addition of a dedicated graphics card would turn one of these into a decent gamer system. |

I just bought one of these systems for my wife as a casual/light gaming PC and so far it has been great!
I only have 2 minor complaints which may be show stoppers for other buyers:
1. The CD-ROM power was not plugged in when I removed it from the box (pretty easy fix)
2. After installing XP Pro on the PC there was no NIC detected so I had to download all the drivers for the MB on another PC and burn a driver CD for this one...but the drivers themselves were a breeze to install and work great! It's unfortunate that the system did't come with the driver CD (it came with some other freedos CD that was useless)
You cannot beat this price for the performance you will get from this nice little PC. I would recommend grabbing a separate $50-75 3D card if you want to do any 3d gaming but all in all you can't beat this value anywhere right now.
Great PC, I will probably grab another one since this is too good to pass up. |

BEWARE!! NO DRIVERS DISC SHIPPED WITH UNIT!! I MARKED THESE WITH SUCH TERRIBLE RATINGS ACROSS THE BOARD TO GET EVERYONES ATTENTION. To install this unit you must have a computer to download from systemax website all the drivers or when you load your op system you'll have no internet access, no sound, and poor video quality. After installing the drivers this unit is really good. |

Product works great for the $$$ you have invested. If loading XP I highly recommend you use a XP Disc that already has SP2 loaded. My install was an older disc which worked fine, however some of the drivers werent 100% until after SP2 and a reinstall of the drivers.
Machine is quiet, and has good performance. I do wish the motherboard had more memory slots, so that I could add 1GB sticks to up the memory in the future. Ships with a 2GB stick and 1GB Stick as there are only two memory slots.
