EnGenius EAP-3660 G Wireless Access Point
The EAP-3660 resembles a smoke detector, but is actually a high-performance Wireless Access Point / Universal Repeater that operates seamlessly in the 2.4GHz frequency spectrum supporting the 802.11b (2.4GHz, 11Mbps) standard and SuperG 108Mbps high speed feature. It's the best way to add wireless capability to your existing wired network or to add bandwidth to your wireless installation.
EAP-3660 features high wireless output power and receive sensitivity along with antenna diversity. High output power and high sensitivity extend wireless coverage to reduce the roaming between Access Points and to provide a reliable wireless connection. It also reduces the total cost of ownership on hardware.
To protect your wireless connectivity, it can encrypt all wireless transmissions through 64/128-bit WEP data encryption and also supports WPA/WPA2. The MAC address filtering lets you select exactly which stations should have access to your network. In addition, the User Isolation function can protect the private network between client users. The attractive design, high performance and array of features make EAP-3660 a suitable wireless solution for your residence or office.

power cord too short
This product is fine in evey way except that the power cord is lik 3feet long. Yet it is to be hung on a wall or ceiling. Should have power through the ethernet cable.

Engenius Access Point reviews pay off
This is the first access point I've installed. I purchased it based on reviews, and taking the time to read the reviews, especially by those who've had more experience, certainly pays off. This access point work without a hitch. It was easy to install and to set up security by limiting access to only those devices in my home using their MAC numbers. We got the access point for our Internet radio. We have crystal clear access throughout our 2100 sf home -- through walls and floors. The access point is at one end of the house.

Nice AP
Well i got 2 of these to test out a wireless system iw as going to put up in a motel, after a few weeks they were working good. its been almost half a year now and they are still working nicely no resets or problems what so ever, mine came with the latest firmware already installed, the instuructions can be dwonloaded form the website, which are clear and easy to do for a firt timer. i am getting more to add on the system. O yeah almost for got they also suppor POE which was a big selling point for me, makes it heck of a lot easier to setup the system.

Great Product for Hotels
Have tried all kinds of WI-FI Access Points, this one is the best, strong signal even through cement floors in a hotel setting. Mounted unit's in ceiling down hallways. Works every time.

Excellent Product
I've installed many wireless access points in this price range from several manufacturers and this is the best I've tried. Very easy to set up, good range and a nice design for wall or ceiling installation.
