My notebook is a little older, so I wanted to semi permanently park it on a desk in my room attached to a docking station and monitor. Another adapter I purchased before this one has a really short cord, so it doesn't allow for being too far from an electrical outlet. This one works perfectly and accommodates the length from my desk to the wall outlet. |

This adaptor is poorer quality than my original one. MOre difficult to use, SHORTER, very sensitive to position...you think its charging until your computer dies. I finally have it working properly but have to keep checking the connection to make sure it has not come loose. And no way to cure the shortness. Probably will send it back! |

It took over a week to get here, and the unit tends to overheat, but not as bad as the original unit. |
