These are lightweight speakers but with a good sound quality, work well for background music. Event though the speakers lack AC input it is possible to use USB adapter and thereby enable use independent of computer for MP3 player.
Overall happy with those speakers for what they are, good addition to working on computer or playing music off your player. |

Single wire USB power and sound is a nice feature.
The speakers sound good for their size and cost.
Good looking, but somewhat larger than I expected.
The remote does not seem to work out of the box (I want to try a new battery before returning) |

I've purchased 3 sets of these speakers and I love them. But, you have to understand what you are getting.
These speakers are only USB, which is probably why they didn't sell well for the mfg, too limiting for some people. There is no separate sub-woofer so these won't rock your house, but they do provide nice clean, bright sound that is fantanstic for non-earsplitting volume levels. Each speaker has a bass port that is adequate for nice sound.
My WinXP computer requires me to switch audio settings to switch back and forth from the speakers to headphones. Too bad you can't plug headphones directly into the speakers. A pain, but I just put an icon for the sound settings on my quick launch to make the switch as painless as possible. My Vista computer seems smart enough to change the audio settings itself if you unplug or plug in the USB cord.
I love the simplicity, sound and minimumal wires - no AC adapter, powered by the USB port. |

I bought these for my wife for her laptop. I really didn't expect much from usb powered speakers but I have to say the sound great. My wife loves them. |
