The MobileSTOR MS2T+ Series is a 2 bay external JBOD solution designed for individual hard drive access. With simplicity and flexibility in mind, the MS2T+ is equipped with two swappable and lockable 3.5” drive trays, and dual eSATA host interfaces. The MS2T+ operates quietly, with a built-in temperature controlled cooling fan. Utilizing cutting edge Serial-ATA HDD technology, the MS2T+ is guaranteed to provide unparallel performance to meet the most data intensive demands. Enclosed in a stylish aluminum housing, the MS2T+ provides ultimate performance and the highest versatility. RAID can be support by using an additional RAID controller card.

Nice - well built - but far from QUIET
Primarily purchased unit as it promised quiet operation.. with a fan that had a thermostat that adjusted speed.. Perfect I thought, for my work at home office. My Mac is SILENT, unless I'm really pounding it, thus I figured this box would be ideal. Wrong. The fan in the unit ALWAYS runs, even though it's temp controlled. Yes it does appear to speed up if I really get the disks working.. but I can't stand the fact that it MUST run that fan all the time. Talked to manufacturer whether possible to turn off.. nope. A design miss as far as I'm concerned. It even runs fan when NO disks are installed! Like the box, hate the noise.
