Does what it's supposed to. Good price
Bought this as a replacement for a 10-year old Zenith unit that died. Seems to work OK and works as advertised. I have a cable box connected to it, so the lack of a tuner is not a problem for me. I have not used the record feature, just use it to play old VHS tapes.

Worked Great for Me
I made the connection between the tv and the player, plugged both in, turned them on and was playing my DVD immediately. Color is great, sound is great. I did not need my cable box. I do wish I could record to the DVD but I basically bought this to play DVDs so that's not a problem.

Don't waste your time
After many attempts to reach the Tech support, I was told I couldn't use this machine because I needed a cable box. This was in spite of having been told I could use it for what I wanted if I bought an RF Modulator (which I did).

great unit
I needed a unit that could play VCRs and DVDs into my dual recording unit so I can back up all my old movies, mostly VCR. Works perfect for me.

Okay, I guess
Was given as a gift and the only complaint so far was that it was a pain to set up and get going on an older t.v. The instructions were useless but they eventually got it operating.
