Works as Stated
Overall I am happy with this. It's a dual tuner, so you can record 2 programs at the same time or record 1 and watch another. I use this with the Windows Media Center software, which was easier to configure than the software included. The only thing I was disappointed with was, the tuner seems to require a much stronger signal than the built in tuner in my HDTV. Make sure you have an amplified Antenna. My antenna is in my attic, but I might have to put it outside for better reception for this tuner.

excellent video quality
Use mine in conjunction with Windows Media Center. Hardware is a Intel core 2 duo, 4 gig ram and 500 gig hard drive. I use the computer as a DVR. It has been recording 2 full HD channels at same time with no dropped frames or corruption. SD channels record at near DVD quality. Physical installation was easy, took me about 10 min to download latest drivers and install software. I am using it connected to cable without a cable box, It tunes most HD and Digital channels, some are encrypted, obviously whats available with your provider can be different. I get probably 40 HD channels and 50+ digital directly without the cablebox. very satisfied with this device.

Works Very Well!
I am very happy with this card. My old ATI tuner cards are all analog and no longer work since Comcast went all digital. During setup this card scans the QAM band and displays all the unencrypted channels. The HD channels look great on my LED monitor. Video capture works just like it's supposed to and saves the files to high quality mpg's if you tell it to in the configuration. I love this card and I plan to get one for my other computer as soon as I can.

First TV tuner card - meets expectations
I build a custom TV-Tuner-DVR computer for my entertainment center. I use the Hauppauge card with Winow Media Center software on Win7. Reasonably easy to set up and use. Recorded programs meet expectatins.

Meets all requirements
I have not used this a lot because I have a high definition vidio recorder with two tuners which I love but since it is no longer available I bought this card in anticipation of building a HTPC when my DVR fails. I installed the card in my PC along with the latest software from the manufacturers web site. I set it up for ATSC only and started the scan for signals. I recieved all the signals my TV and DVR pickup plus a couple more so I declare the tuners to be good. The card records in transport stream (TS) format so all the data is there but if you want to write what you record to a DVD you have to convert it to MPEG and then do some additional processing. Moving a recording to a DVD is very time consuming and requires additional SW I am running XP so no Media Center. The supplied WinTV works but all the remote functions are not available. The major problem is that that the stickem on the IR rcvr is a gooey mess and won't hold on anything.

My 3rd TV Tuner card
This card works great and I have 2 machines that are used for recording ATSC. Had to install a TV Signal amplifier and even with that, my digital TV picks up more channels than the tuners. Just wish that they provided 2 TV inputs like my older 1600PVR card has. Recording is of great quality for me.

Great with Windows Media Center
The Hauppauge dual TV tuner card has worked great so far. We don't subscribe to cable, so having a card like this is very helpful. We use it in conjunction with Windows Media Center, an Over the Air HD Antenna, a DIY HTPC, a 55inch TV and an HTPC-remote for easy control at 15 ft away. So with a single coaxial Antenna Connection, we can record HDTV on two channels at once. I have not tried the other software, so I don't know how good it is, but the Media Center experience is very good, and requires very little setup. For this scenario, I would highly recommend it.
