Works well

This product works very well. I decided to ditch the software it came with in favor of Windows Media Center.

Not a bad devise, but

I have to pause what I watch for about 10 seconds for the audio to catch up. Picture is really good though!

Exactly what I was looking for

The only problem I have had with this unit may be due to my processor. I am happy with it and got exactly what I thought I was buying. I live 27 miles from the nearest station so use a roof top antenna with a booster. I bought this unit to be able to record shows overnight and sometimes it will and sometimes it will not. If I wished to watch tv on my pc, every channel comes in clear. I think it is a good unit for the price.

Not bad for the money, but...

I can't blame my existing issue on the tuner, just something I've observed with Windows 7. I ordered this USB Tuner to replace my existing TV Capture Card because I thought the old tuner had a blown sound module. Still don't have sound from captured TV or Live TV through this new tuner. Never had this type of problem on XP MCE or Vista. Win7 seems to commonly encounter problems like this in Media Center. Oddly enough, the tuner won't give me sound in the provided software so I'm thinking there could be a CODEC problem. However, I plugged this into my wife's laptop and it worked very well. That was Vista.

Great Device

I use SageTV software, and this little device worked perfectly on my HP laptop. I was on a construction site watching the BBC News while taking a coffee break, which was real nice! I've had great luck with Hauppauge TV devices over the years, and this is no exception.

Works as it should

Great little device. Work's as it should.

Great HDTV

Works great with my HP DV5 laptop and Win7. I was able to get it set up in WMC very easily. I was not able to get it to work on a Win7 32-bit desktop with 2GB RAM, but I will assume that's because of the 3.4GHz P4 CPU. Well worth the money, I recommend buying an antenna on monoprice to get full use out of this.

Didn't work on my PC

The unit was simple and the install went well, but the video required all the processor and locked up the machine. The machine is a Dell Dimension with 2gb of ram and 512 mgb on the video card running Win 7 so make sure you got something better.

Nothing fancy, but it works.

Opened the box and got it up and running without too much trouble, on xp. No need to download new drivers. Any newer PC should be able to handle teh processor demands. This product is decent quality and works but is extremely low on features. Its just a simple analog to digital converter. My biggest complaint is that it only records in one format AND YOUR CAN''T ADJUST THE BITRATE that it records at by more than a tiny bit. Also you can't merge files or delete parts when recording. So you you will probably need other editing software.
