Bought this for external storage for my wife's graphic work. Seems that her Adobe CS4 software has slowed down significantly from previous performace. We have the Adobe set to use this as the Scratch disk. It's plugged into a USB 2.0 port so not sure what gives. Has anyone else noticed this??

use a sync program so I always have a backup ready to go. Run the sync once a day

This drive seams to be everything I was looking for. It works with my Dell desktop and my Mac Laptop. Dell-XPsp3 and MAC-Snow Leopard. I use it like a 1T Thumb Drive to move music, pictures, documents and videos between both operating systems. I would always use the safe eject option and then turn off the drives power switch.

i bought two drives the iomega and the hammer. the iomega is vastly superior. the hanner is much slower to work and I did not find it a user friendly. the Iomega was way faster and much easier to use. the next one i buy will be another iomega.

I bought this product 1 week ago and it already doesn't work. I have backed up about 300 hours worth of work and it's all gone (I can't access it on the hard drive). I called Tech. Support and they told me to go see the Geek Squad. If I even think of recovering my lost data it will set me back $400.00 plus the cost of the defective drive. DON'T BUY THIS PRODUCT!!!

So far this drive has worked well for me. The power switch is a nice feature. The USB is plenty fast for my purposes. Wish it was made to lay down rather than stand so you wouldn't risk drive damage from a fall. Overall, I'm very pleased with this purchase.
DO NOT BUY THIS DRIVE!

After constantly having to restart this drive to see my data, now it won't let me access my data no matter what. This equates to a loss of approximately 200 hours of my time. Ouch. I also own a 1TB Wester Digital green drive and love it, no problems whatsoever. I just wish I would have used it to back up this piece of junk.
