I bought this to use as an external back-up drive for my internal RAID 0 drive set-up. It works as expected. FYI, this is a bare-bones unit without any cables or screws. |

Bought this drive in December of 2008. Drive failed 9 months later. Complete mechanical failure. Manufacturer defect. Not my fault. Manufacturer does not cover data recovery. Cost to recover 2400. Great price for this much storage. You think?! Will never buy another product from this manufacturer. |

Since i received the hd, it failed in a regular basis (once per month). After 1 year, it is dead. I lost all my personal data.

I was concerned after purchasing two of these drives and doing some 'review research' online that they would be noisy, unreliable, slow, etc.
No need to have worried - they can only be heard when they spin up, seem completely reliable (and have an excellent warranty), and are anything but slow.
Great hard drives, excellent value. |

To counter the UPS bashing. I think it depends where one is. My last FedEx package was so beat up I thought it was used for a pickup football game. My UPS service has been great for the last 6 years! THe HD itself is working well! |
