Guaranteed Buyback® Plan Overview:

ready when it does. The Guaranteed Buyback plan from TechForward locks in
trade-in values for your DESKTOP COMPUTERS over the two-year term of service.
The amount you receive, paid in store credit, depends on when you send in your
Desktop Computer:
- Return within 6 months of purchase: Receive
50% of the purchase price
- Return between 6 months and 1 year: Receive
40% of the purchase price
- Return between 1 year and 18 months: Receive
30% of the purchase price
- Return between 18 months and 2 years:
Receive 20% of the purchase price

Guaranteed Buyback® Plan Benefits
Get value out of your device when you're done with it. Plan ahead
by purchasing a Guaranteed Buyback plan for your current device to ensure that
you can cash in on its value later. We guarantee future trade-in values for your
device, and all you have to do is keep it in Good Condition for as long as you
own it. The next time you want to replace your device, you'll be able to use
your buyback amount towards the purchase of your new device.
Free box, packing materials, and shipping label. Whenever you want to get
paid for your device, just tell us in your online account, or call us. We will send a free shipping box, packing materials and a free
shipping label to your home or office. Just put the device in the box, seal it
up, attach the label, and send it off.
Ensure your device will be reused or recycled. A Guaranteed Buyback plan
is a great way to ensure your device is reused instead of just dumped in the
garbage. When TechForward receives your used device, we resell it to someone who
needs it. And instead of simply giving you a portion of whatever we might get
for it, we guarantee an amount we'll pay you for the device, regardless of what
we're able to sell it for.
Our environmental policy consists of three elements:
- Reuse. We will resell any device that can be
resold, to be used by a secondary owner.
- Recycle. We will recycle, in an
environmentally-friendly way, any item that cannot be resold.
- Rethink. We will constantly look for ways to
promote greener outcomes such as reusing and recycling of packaging materials.

A Guaranteed Buyback allows you to reduce the cost of owning a device for a
specific period of time. For instance, you may need a Desktop Computer for a two-year
degree program. At the end of two years, you can send back the Desktop Computer to us, and
we will send you the Guaranteed Buyback amount.

often as you want using the Guaranteed Buyback service. When you're ready to
upgrade, you can use your Guaranteed Buyback amount toward the purchase of a new
top-of-the-line device.

Detailed Features
Claiming Your Guaranteed Buyback Store Credit:
After purchasing a Guaranteed Buyback plan, you will receive a hangtag in the
mail which will have your reference number. To return your device and claim the
Guaranteed Buyback amount, you can notify TechForward online, or by email, or by
calling toll-free. We will provide you with a free box, packing materials, and
shipping label to send in your device at no cost to you. After your device has
been received, you will receive your store credit code by email, good for any
purchase. From your My Account page online, you can review your Guaranteed
Buyback plan and view any updates or messages. You will also be able to request
a box and shipping label from your My Account page and track your device
shipment.
Condition Ratings:
In order to receive your full Guaranteed Buyback amount, your Desktop Computer must be
received in “Good Condition”. Good Condition is defined as: The device is fully
functional, with normal visible wear and tear. Device must be returned with
substantially all components, original software installation disks, manuals,
peripheral devices and all other accessories that originally shipped with the
device.
Desktop Computers received in "Excellent Condition" will be rewarded with a 15%
bonus to your Buyback Amount. Desktop Computers deemed to be in "Poor Condition"
will be accepted, but your Buyback Amount will be reduced by 50%. If your device
is "Substantially Impaired,” you will receive 25% of the proceeds from
reselling or recycling your device. Damaged devices should be repaired either
under warranty, or at your own cost before sending the device to TechForward.
Frequently Asked Questions
What types of devices are eligible for a Guaranteed Buyback plan?
Devices in the following product categories are eligible for the Guaranteed
Buyback service: Laptop computers, desktop computers, flat-panel TVs, digital
cameras, MP3 Players, LCD monitors, camcorders, GPS devices, and Blu-ray
players.
How does the Guaranteed Buyback term length work? The Term Length for a
Guaranteed Buyback plan is two years, which means that you can return your
device anytime during the two year term. You will receive a higher Guaranteed
Buyback Amount if you return the device sooner, which allows you the flexibility
to upgrade at a great price during the entire two year term.
Is the Service Fee an annual, monthly, or one-time fee? The Service Fee
is a one-time fee to purchase a Guaranteed Buyback plan. There are no annual or
monthly fees for using Guaranteed Buyback plans.
How will I get paid for my device when I send it in? Once we receive and
test your device, we will email you your store credit. The email will include a
credit code to use for online purchases as well as a button to print out a
hardcopy gift certificate to take into a store location.
Am I under any obligation to send in my device? You can keep your
device for as long as you want, and you are not obligated to ever send it in.
Your Guaranteed Buyback term will eventually expire – and you will probably want
to upgrade before then anyway.
Do I get a bonus if I take very good care of my device? Yes! Devices
returned in "Excellent Condition" will be rewarded with a 15% bonus to your
Buyback Amount, which will be included when you receive your store credit.
What happens if I don't take very good care of my device? The
device must be sent to us in at least "Good Condition" to receive the full
Buyback Amount. Devices deemed to be in "Poor Condition" will be accepted, but
your Guaranteed Buyback amount will be reduced by 50%. Devices returned in
"Substantially Impaired" condition will be considered a Rejected Device, and we
will not refund your Service Fee or pay your Guaranteed Buyback amount.
What if I send my device just slightly late? A Guaranteed Buyback plan is
still valid for 30 days after the Expiration Date, but a 20% Late Penalty will
apply to your Guaranteed Buyback amount.
What happens if I decide later that I want to keep my device? You retain
the right keep your device. You should be aware, however, that we cannot refund
the Service Fee of the buyback.
What happens to my information when I send you the device? You will
need to make sure you have backed up and erased all personal files and sensitive
information from your device before sending. Although we intend to erase all
information on the device before reselling or recycling it, we are not liable
for any lost or stolen information. If your device is a computer, we recommend
that you use the freeware program Kill Disk to erase your data.
My device is broken, and I want to upgrade. Is there any way that I can have
my Guaranteed Buyback plan honored? Most manufacturers and retailers
have warranties associated with your device. If your device is still under
warranty, you can often have them replace a defective device at no charge. Just
let us know that you are receiving a new device from the manufacturer and we
will note the new serial number. TechForward highly recommends that you take
care of any problems with the device through the manufacturer before returning
the device to us to avoid having us reduce your Guaranteed Buyback amount by a
Poor Condition Penalty when the problems could have been repaired under
warranty. For complete information about how we treat warranty returns, please
see the Guaranteed Buyback Agreement.
At the end of the term, after I send you my device, how quickly will I
receive my buyback amount? We will strive to get you the buyback
amount as soon as possible after we receive your device, however, according to
the Guaranteed Buyback Agreement, we have up to 60 days to email you your
Payment Amount.
What if my device is stolen? If your device is stolen, we unfortunately
cannot honor your Guaranteed Buyback plan, as you are not able to send us the
device, and we will keep the Service Fee.
Does a Guaranteed Buyback plan protect me from rapid changes in technology?
Yes, a Guaranteed Buyback plan is the perfect product for you if you believe
that a new technology will be coming out soon that will make you want to
upgrade. At any point during the Buyback Term, you can send us your device in at
least Good Condition and receive the Guaranteed Buyback amount.

I purchased this with my new computer. I was told the product would arrive 7-10 days later. Five weeks later the product had not arrived so I had to cancel the purchase. What a shame! |
