I've had my Duet for a year now, and it has changed my music life. Now my entire collection lives on my computer, mainly in a lossless format, and I play it on my main stereo system through the SB. CDs go straight to the computer for ripping and never see the inside of a CD player; downloaded music, at as high a bitrate as possible, go into the music directory and are immediately available to my stereo system.
Unlike other systems for playing through the stereo, there is no quality loss -- the files are played through the excellent digital audio converter (DAC) in the SB, so all data in the file is used -- if they are lossless files, with full audio information, the sound from your system will be identical to that when played through your CD player -- possibly better, because the DAC used is better than the ones used in most non-audiophile CD players.
Setup was a breeze; controller works like an iPod; sound is top notch. What's not to love? Possibly the price, but that's all.

This is actually ''the'' toy I've been looking for. It links your computer media info to any remote location. My computer is a dedicated media system used for music only and I wanted a remote access for the kitchen.
+ Interface is very easy to use
+ Lots of flexibility in customizing menus
+ You can even access it from your computer to change parameters and do searches (easier to search radio stations with a full keyboard)
+ contrary to music bridges, you can use this independently
+ very good sound quality
+ super easy setup (it finds network, computer, library on its own, not much user intervention required)
Some elements to improve:
- doesn't read auto-playlists created in windows media (that's a biggee for me, because I have a large managed database)
- sound quality may not be sufficient for the audiophile with a high-end hi-fi (but it's great on my kitchen sound system)
- a little expensive

Having tried a variety of other streaming devices, this one was one of the easiest to configure and get running. The internet stations are a bonus. Took more time charging the battery than configuration. Looking to purchase an additional receiver for my Bose Wave radio.
