Excellent Product
I replaced a 120 GB external drive with this 1 TB drive due to the old drive only had 9 GB left. I checked many brands of drives and this Fantom drive came out best, not only in value but also in reviews. It seems to be an excellent drive although I have only had it about a week and a half. Transferred 100 GB of data from my old external to the new Fantom GreenDrive without any problem. Very fast data tranfer from old FAT32 drive to Fantom NTFS drive. My only dislike is the NTFS file system. The MFT (Master File Table) takes too much space on the drive. Out of 1 TB drive showed only 931 GB available. All in all an excellent drive thus far.

Works Great as a DVR Expander
I bought this item to use as an eSATA expander drve for my Motorola DVR. t worked like charm and now my DVR capacity is increased by 4 times.

EXCELLENT HD
My hd on my desktop was getting old so decided to go with a one TB external hd. Works very well so I plan on getting a second one for my laptop. Good stuff and great service.

Works perfectly
I bought this to store my movie collection to free up space on my 500Gb main drive. I'm using the USB connection so I can't comment on the eSATA hookup. Movie playback from the drive is flawless and storing a 5Gb HD movie takes less than a minute. No software needed and Windows 8 recognized it immediately. What's not to like?

Great drive, but eSATA is tempermental
I love these Phantom drives. I have 8 of them now. I have discovered though that if you use the eSATA interface, the drive sporadically drops itself from Windows. If you use the USB interface this problem does not occur. I have looked into this, and the problem stems from either the length of the eSATA cable (3 feet is the max, but results may vary), the connections themselves, or the eSATA controller

My 4th - All work flawlessly
I now have two 2 TB, one 1 TB and one 1.5 TB Fantom Greendrives. (Important company backups) all have been flawless, fast and easy to use.

Reliable, Reliable, Reliable ... and good looking!
I have a few Fantom drives, and they're the only drives that haven't given me any problems after extended uptime. I've had some drives powered up for the better part of 2-3 years, and they've survived surges from power outages, etc. Great reliable product.
