USR has been a solid reputable manufacturer of modems for years. Over the years I have installed and managed the use of thousands of these devices. Other than direct lightning strikes I have seen nothing harm them. There may be a slight premium to purchasing these, however you can be sure it will function for years to come. Just remember these are for use on POTs lines (Plain Old Telephone), not digital. |

USR very hard to get ahold of for tech support. After reaching, working through problem, I was finially told it would not work on Digital Phone lines ie Cable phone. I was told to get old style cheap modem for my situration. Since it was retruned back as incompatibale, I got stuck with the return shipping as well. |
