I cannot comment too much about the features of this product as I could not get it to connect for more than a few seconds on a very clean phone line. It connects for about 10 seconds, drops out and starts dialing again. This cycle will keep repeating itself as long as permitted to do so. Hopefully I can return it. I will find out in the morning. |

Well first off, the first modem I got was worthless. There were so many problems with the modem, it was extremely frustrating.. disconnecting roughly every 10 minutes and it was messing up the phone line even when "disconnected" from the internet.
Anyways, thanks to the 30-day "no-questions asked guarantee" the second modem I received works fairly good. Usually connects in the 26-38kbps range. For some reason I can't get the modem to mute though.. guess I'll have to call technical support on that. |

If using Vista, then get a HIRO instead (E261-1006) and SMILE! SMILE! SMILE!

This is not the first US Robotics modem I have had. I like the features and it performs very well. There was no problem setting it up or installing it. Again another buy from this site that was handled fast and efficiently. The best place to buy so far. I have been a customer for a long time. |
