No fax
Received the product timely. Installed it and found there is no software other than the Windows based Fax software. Have yet to be able to send a fax with this product, and have tried everything I could find on the internet. This product is of zero value to me. I suspect if you have an analog phone line you might be able to use this product, but still would have software issues.

Vista Users Take Note
Had a computer in for repair (home hobby business) and had 3 other modems in the stash of parts. Could not find a driver that worked for any of the 3 (all really good modems) in Vista 64 bit. Finally gave up and bought this item. Arrived on time, dropped it into the Vista 64 bit box and worked without drivers or tinkering. Just took off and worked with all features. I love it when a plan comes together. Vista guys take note; this one actually drops in for true plug n play in Vista. Miracles never cease!

works well with windows xp
this modem works well with windows xp but cannot get windows 7 to recognize it like i had hoped for

Great fax modem for the price
east to install. excellent price, less than 10 bucks. Installed and got the software updates from there web site (very easy to find) for my win7pro 64bit, works excellent a good buy

Not for multi-taskers ...
Like a lot of people, I am steadily striving toward a paperless office. In the past, I had to print invoices and statements and then fax them ... a total waste in the digital age. I was hoping I could use this modem to easily switch identities. It does not look like this modem is capable of this type of sophistication at all. Note: I email invoices and statements to many customers; unfortunately, not all customers want to receive their billing using this method.
