Works quite well
Although it is recertified but works quite well and supposed to do what has to be done. Unfortunately my modem does not support WDS or Wireless distribution system so I have to return it.

Good router but there are a few glitches
I ordered the latest WNDR3400v2 first & then gave it back to buy this one for the low cost. My home has a HP 8500 printer that is connected via the wireless network. I've never had problems with putting that printer on the wireless network until this router came along. The moment I turned on the router, the whole wireless connection would be thrown off... I would see wireless connection on my laptop but no access to internet. The only way to resolve this issue was to restart the router. The earlier 3400v2 also had the same problem. Calling NETGEAR support & spending over 50 minutes with them didn't help because they mentioned that to get tech support on a refurb product is $39.99, while I paid only $25 for the router!! So it didn't work for me but it could work for your needs.

DD-WRT capable
Bought several of these hoping they were not v2, and the ones I got were in fact version 1. So, no problem loading DD-WRT. They work great. Features rating is required, but really isn't a fair rating because I never even looked at Netgear's firmware.

Installed DD-WRT and Optware
Installed DD-WRT and Optware, now it can do a ton of stuff most routers could not.
