good product
the sounds is amazing, its a little hard to install, but its great and good quality, i have no problem so far
After One year of use...
I bought this card for my i7 monster build early last year.
After 6 months of use, I noticed static coming from my front speakers, and I tracked it back to the sound card.
After reseating the sound card, the static went away. The static sound is a recurring issue, and could be caused by case slot misalignment.
Earlier this year, the front panel push buttons for this card stopped working, and fail to turn red when pushed. I have had numerous issues with the drivers, and other strange sound issues, that go away after rebooting. I payed $220 for this card over a year ago, and I wish I didn't buy it at all.
Great sound card
I purchased this card after my old Audigy sound card finally kicked the bucket. I wasn't expecting any major improvment over the Audigy but I was pleasantly surprised and impressed by the sound. The sound is awesome on my old Klisph 4.1 desktop speakers even at high volume and on my turtle beach HD2 5.1 surround sound headset. looks like I'm going to enjoy this card for while. Like some other reviewers stated install the drivers from the web site instead of website especially is your on windows 7.
alot of good features
the sound is great set up was a little difficult documentation wasn't the best but once set up the sound is awsome
You can hear Angels sing with this sound card
I have had a lot of other sound cards but this takes the cake and the bakery as well
front pannel is amazing.... i mean it brings the card to life and is good eye candy with a super case. no regrets thanks a million LZ
