Works great
Installed in new Dell XPS 8500 with no problem. Windows 7 recognized the card. I connected it to an external LaCie 1 TB hard drive and proceeded to transfer massive quantities of photos onto the computers HDD using the Firewire 800 connection. The speed was great. Very satisfied.

Works as expected
Only difficulty was getting it into the PCI Slot. Had to reseat it once to get a good connection.

It's All Good
Product came as expected and with extra's 400 to 800 cable CD with software, was great. It installed quickly,on start up Win 7 found it installed drivers, up and running working great no problems. Just what I was looking for

does the job.
I had the regular 1394a ports on my computer and wanted to 800 for my backup drive. had some conflict with my mouse and had to move to another pcie slot and upgrade mouseware. Lucky my backup drive came with the 800 cable otherwise I'd had to stay at 400. I Noticed an improvement on my backup speeds and I'm sure it will be an improvement on video as well.

Great Card
This card works as I expected it to. Bought a Canopus video converter to use with this card. Running it on Win7 64bit and setup went very smoothly. My only complaint is the instructions. Sure the card install is self-explanatory but there was a place for a power connector which the instructions didn't really mention. Again, even that was straight forward to install but I wanted to know why it was necessary.
