The card is solid...
I haven't had any problem with this card. Quick and painless install. Haven't used the included software. Nice addition though. One of the best values if you need both fire wire 800 and 400 capability.

Great product for price
I have windows 7-64 bit and the card installed without a hitch. I needed to purchased the 4 pin cable for my HDV video cam since it comes only with the newer 6 pin cable. I use more professional 64-bit software for the video editing so I cannot comment on using the software, which looks to be 32-bit.

Does what it should.
I installed this into a Dell Dimension 3000 and it worked just fine. Windows installed all required drivers without any issues. The hardest part was deciding which PCI slot to place it in.

It does whats it's supposed to
I needed a card that would be my link to my Camcorder, and this fit the bill nicely. It fit into a pci slot and was found by winXP for easy instllatin of drivers.

This card is good value for it price comes with cable 1394b 9-6 pin and ulead video editing software. I run a triple boot ubuntu 8.10, vista ultimate and xp; works fine on all three no problems. However is a universal card so barely fit my slot on an ASUS P5GZ-MX Green board because the southbridge is right behind my PCI slots
