Disposable

It has decent speed and performance. I seem to hit the touch pad a lot when typing. The speakers are on the bottom so when you play music it is just terrible. Even though it is aluminum it feels cheap. I'm disappointed.

Horrible touch pad

Overall I liked this laptop but the touchpad was awful. Very sensitive, not adjustable, kept jumping all over the place. Tried different drivers, all to no avail. Some people advised using a mouse, but that defeats the purpose of having a laptop to use on my LAP, not at a desk. I express my displeasure to Tiger Direct and they cheerfully found a replacement for me.

Solid business machine

Fast processor, decent memory(upgradeable to 8gb), Asus InstantOn feature (quick resume from sleep), able to setup win 7 default language on initial boot, touchpad support multi touch gestures. Slight disappointments: Typical budget LED screen, cpu fan drone when viewing graphic intense apps (typical Asus fan)

Solid Laptop

I like that this laptop is light weight and has a nice big screen. The touch pad is a little bit too touchy sometimes, clicking when I never clicked. Programs freeze up on a rare occasion, not sure what that's about. But overall works very well.

Terribly frustrated with support

I have it at 1 star for value and 3 stars for everything else because I have not been able to solve the problem that is preventing me from putting the laptop to use. I bought it almost 2 months ago with Win 7 pre-installed and set it aside waiting for the Win 8 upgrade first. The upgrade assistance reported that the USB 3.0 is not compatible. I submitted a tech support question to ASUS. It took awhile for the response, which directed me to a link to download a USB 3.0 driver update. I went to the site but cannot find any download for USB 3.0 driver update. However, the site references a long list of other downloads for Win 8.0 upgrade. Other than not able to find the USB 3.0 driver download file, now I am even more confused and frustrated wondering if these other downloads are necessary. May update my rating depending what I finally find out and have to go through.

Great computer with a good price

I purchased this computer for my husband - it was very simple to transfer all his info from his old laptop to this one. The computer works like a charm although the mouse is very touchy. I did have to purchase a new wireless keyboard and mouse for him as his older Microsoft keyboard and mouse were not compatible with this computer.

Great Laptop for the PRICE

It's fast and I doubled the RAM. Runs all my programs (Adobe Creative Suite and Office 2010 Pro) with ease. I would recommend it

Just what the doctor ordered

I needed a solid, no frills, laptop running Windows 7 for Quickbooks, Excel, Word, Power Point and other business software. I needed raw power, speed and durability for business apps not games. This unit fit the bill perfectly at a price point that I very much liked. Does exactly what I wanted.
