Great value for a 3D TV!

I have been very pleased with the purchase of this TV from Tigerdirect. The picture is outstanding, and the addition of the soundbar compensates for the less-than-perfect internal speakers in the TV. 3D mode is great, and I was even pleased with the simulated 3D mode for regular broadcasts (even sporting events!). Delivery and communication from Tigerdirect was also outstanding.

GREAT deal on a 3D TV

Just purchased this TV. First off, I received this in less that a week! Pretty good for a large TV shipped by truck. I was amazed at how 3D television has transformed. I watched in awe for 2 hours on one of the Direc TV 3D channels, I think it was like 106. The color and clarity are outstanding. This set replaced my nearly 5 year old Philips 47 inch TV. I had to spend some time tweaking the picture, as the defaults had unrealistic looking skin tones and the contrast was too much for my tastes. Finally got it to where I like it and am very pleased with deal I got here. Now the bad... the speakers on the TV are horrible. I go about half way up just to hear well and the speakers start rattling something fierce. I was able to connect the sound bar and turn it up and turn the TV speakers down to about 30 out of 100. This works pretty well now, but I will definitely be looking into a home theater sound system soon. This TV deserves at least that much!

Fantastic! Everything I had hoped for and more.

I have had my TV for about 5 days. It is AWESOME! I was using a projector with a large screen, but it wasn't suitable for a living room that needs to be used for other things. A standalone theater would have been a better application for that. So, I got this TV thinking it would suffice and I ended up loving it. The picture quality and lighting is amazing. The 3D is stunning and much less expensive and easier to access than with the active shutter glasses I was using with the projector. I didn't even know when I bought it that it had ethernet and plays DLNA data. I have it hooked up through my 7.1 surround system, so I hooked the sound bar up to my smaller LG TV in my bedroom. It works great, but lacks the sound of a full system with a subwoofer. It is great for my bedroom, though. All said, I am thouroughly impressed with the purchase I made. I feel like I got the best deal in the world.

Great TV

I just got my TV today. Setup was easy. Wonderful picture. 2d-3d works, but not as well as actual 3d content. Have my PC hooked up to this model, and 3d gaming is wonderful,to say the least. Got it on sale, with free shipping.

Can't beat the quality for the price

Only had the set for five days but I couldn't be happier with the quality of the picture and features. Hard to find good 55'' 3D set that includes glasses under 1000 (got mine without tax). Haven't used the sound bar since I play everything through a 7.1 system. A great deal even without the sound bar! If you want wireless streaming, don't bother looking for it in a smart TV; buy a 3D BluRay player with WiFi, since you'll need one to view 3D anyway and it's MUCH cheaper!
