I am running 4 computers with 64 bit os's.I've had no problems with it. |
NO Software for 64 BIT OS. Does not Work on 64 Bit

This thing is not Compatible with 64 Bit Operating systems and I found no software for it on its mother webpage. Salesman assured me that it works on 64 BIT OS . YOU GOT 32 BIT OS then you can tell me how it goes. |

I purchased this router from a local Walmart and it immediately gave me problems. The main issue was the very well known problem of intermittent restarts and shut off's. When I went to Walmart to exchange the desk girl told me its was past due on electronics returns when in fact it was not. So I called the company, NETGEAR, they had no customer service and of course tech support was not easy to understand, and I don't mean by tech speak. I finally had to get a manager at Walmart to exchange it for a Linksys Dual band N Ultra router that has given me no problems. |

I've gone through 3 Linksys routers before returning to the old favorite of Netgear. The installation disc wouldn't work for my Vista64, so had to install everything manually but otherwise it's worked like a dream. Iphone, PS3, Wii, and laptops use both channels flawlessly. Been a month and no resetting issues. Great bang for your buck. |

As of the time I am writign this, I see this unit as the best on the market for home network. I have Comcast Cable and motorola modem connected tot his unit which works super fast. The signal is good even on the 4th floor of the building. |
