The adapter sometimes does not come on at startup. The unit has to be reinserted in the USB port for it to power up. This could be a driver problem, as we're running it with Windows 7 64 bit. When the unit is on, it works well. It produces a good display. |

Out of the box problems with driver installation from the disk. Tech support was difficult to reach, but did admit tht some of the disks had problems. Installed the device with downloaded drivers and my own cable as the on provided was bad. Once installed the device works as advertised but quality control needs to be better. I would recommend with reservations. |

install it on one of my setups, the one I consider the most pogressive and unfortunately this product failed in a big way, and caused multiple crashes. I don't know maybe some of the background software was having conflict with it.
Btw, I am a computer tech and i couldn't get it to work. Buy any others but this. |

We have 4 of these working (3 winxp, 1 vista) and they work very well. Had one unit that caused 2nd screen to go blank, when moved.
Easy to setup - worth the $ to me. |

What Is USB 2.0?
USB 1.1 was great when it was introduced almost a decade ago. But
the newer USB 2.0 transfers data dramatically faster - up to 40 times
quicker. Plus, USB 2.0 provides additional bandwidth for multimedia and
storage applications, which are growing larger every year. Also to your
advantage is the fact that USB 2.0 is forward and backward compatible with
USB 1.1, which means that cables and connectors made for the original USB
configuration will also work perfectly in a USB 2.0 port, though some newer
devices are specifically designed for USB 2.0. It is always a good
idea to verify the version of USB supported by each device you want to use. |
