It arrived, and wasn't connecting with my computer. No sign of it anywhere. After, contacting service tech. He walked us threw some checking, and we worked out a replacement. The replacement came, hooked it up, and It popped right up on my monitor screen. After loading some media, it played beautifully on my 52" tv. thanks. |

I've been using this unit for about 1 month now and think it's great! Some things I found:
- I rip my DVD's directly into folders on this little device and when I browse to the folders the DVD's play just like the real thing
- Plays MP3's, AVI's (XVid, Divx), and JPEGs
- The JPEG slideshow feature is a bit useless if you have tons of family pictures like we do
- Playlist manager utility that comes with it can cut down on the file folder clutter and help you get to the files you want faster
- The file folder based navigation system is a bit clunky but I don't really care that it takes me a minute to get to the movie I want
- The remote is kind of cheap but simple and functional
- Not sure why they have a bright blue LED light on the front. A piece of electrical tape fixed that up nicely
- Really find it awesome that I can have my ENTIRE movie collection in one little portable device that I can take with me and plug into any t.v./stereo |

I bought this to replace a CD Changer. I asked an Iomega rep in a live chat if it would do a random play of songs. A feature of our CD changer we really liked. I was told it would but if it does I've not figured out how yet. The remote does leave a lot to be desired. You have to have it pointed in a straight line of sight at the device or it does not work.That said I think it is a great deal for the money. |

I love this powerful little bugger...works great...you can create as many files as you want - Home movies, kid movies, parents movies, music etc....it may take a lifetime to fill it up |

I am not as negative about this unit as the last reviewer. I live overseas and use this machine every day to watch tv and movies. I have no issues with video quality. I find it clear and although it has had some issues with sound at times mostly it is a clear as a bell.
My issues are... The remote... awful... I sometimes have to get up and press the play button. It works in a sporadic fashion. Noise... this thing couldn't be much louder. You don't notice it when a video is playing but you will not forget it on. Menu system is folder based but if you have a lot of files it can take a long time to get to the bottom.
Knock wood I have had no problems with this unit. It has saved me countless DVDs and plays almost every format I have downloaded. For a $159 - 500GB multimedia HD you aren't going to do much better.
