Massive capacity with Blu-ray Disc recording. The Lite-On DH-4B1S Blu-ray disc writer provides professional quality BD, DVD and CD performance for writing, rewriting and reading. It supports Running OPC (ROPC) and is compatible with Windows Plug and Play. In addition, the drive is equipped with buffer under-run technology to eliminate buffer under-run errors, so you can safely use your computer for other things while you're writing to BD, DVD or CD, and using a web connection, you can update this drive's flash memory to the latest firmware revisions without opening the drive.

Works very Well and easy to install also very quiet when reading discs. I have 3 Lite-on products and like everyone no failures on any of them and 2 of them are at least 8 years old. |

Installation of the Serial ATA drive and setup of the hardware in Windows Vista SP2 was literally Plug-and-Play. With this non-OEM version you get software and a Blu-Ray Rewritable disk too! I have recorded HD content with this drive using a AVCHD Handycam. At 2x on BR-RE its not fast... but it works, and with Stunning video quality. Not to mention I can watch Blu-ray movies. This drive will only record onto Single Layer Blu-Ray disks, 25GB. Which I think is a great way to make the drive cheaper, and more for home use, since you can still read the Dual layer Blu-Ray disks.
CAREFUL!!! The drive needs software to play Blu-ray Movies!!! The included software did not work on my computer, I purchased PowerDVD 9 Ultra and never had a problem. However the included software player is not guaranteed to work on custom built systems. |

Great drive. No pronlems what so ever. I have installed them in 2 different machines. Do not get the OEM version, get this one instead and use the SATA cable that is included. |
