Plustek IPcam P1000 Security Camera with Networking
The IPCam P1000 is a small network security dome camera. It is easy to set up and can be placed almost anywhere. With its own IP address and built-in web server, it connects directly to your network, yet can be remotely accessed from any standard Internet browser.
It features superior image quality in three different resolutions, up to VGA (640x480). It transfers up to 30 frames per second in CIF(320x240) mode and supports up to 4 users simultaneously. Password protection may be used to restrict viewer's access. With simple installation, you can easily and affordably setup multiple cameras.
Using IPCam P1000, your options are limitless. Enhance safety and security at your home or place of business. Keep an eye on locations or people, for example, reception areas, entrances / exits, or queues. Easily broadcast activities, products, or events to viewer's in real time over a local network or the Internet.

After purchasing this camera, it showed up dead-on-arrival. After returning it and purchasing a second of the same model... shipping at my expense... the second arrived in working condition. I installed and configured it with out problems. Within one week it too failed and will not come back to life. The features of the unit were good for the price, but there seems to be significant problems with the electronics. I would definately recommend against this particular product-model. The rating scale shown does not correctly reflect my opinion of the product, which unfortunately is 0, not 1 |

I'm reasonably computer-literate (I install networks and CCTV systems for a living) but I spent four hours trying to get this thing configured with the terrible software provided, and had next to no luck. And forget setting up the DDNS server, etc. (you have to configure your router, IP, DDNS, etc. manually.) Never got it to fully work, sent it back. |
