Linksys WRT110 Wireless G Router
The RangePlus Wireless Router is really three devices in one box. First, there's the Wireless Access Point, which lets you connect to the network without wires. There's also a built-in 4-port full-duplex 10/100 Switch to connect your wired-Ethernet devices together. Finally, the Router function ties it all together and lets your whole network share a high-speed cable or DSL Internet connection.
The Access Point built into the Router uses smart antenna technology to achieve extended range. Unlike ordinary wireless networking technologies that are confused by signal reflections, the "Multiple In, Multiple Out" (MIMO) technology actually uses these reflections to increase the range and reduce "dead spots" in the wireless coverage area. The robust signal travels farther, maintaining wireless connections much farther than standard Wireless-G.
With MIMO, the farther away you are, the more speed advantage you get. It works great with standard Wireless-G and -B equipment, but when both ends of the wireless link are MIMO enabled, the router can increase the throughput even more by using twice as much radio band. But unlike other speed-enhanced technologies, the RangePlus Wireless Router can dynamically enable this double-speed mode for compatible devices, while still connecting to other wireless devices at their respective fastest speeds.
To help protect your data and privacy, the Router can encode all wireless transmissions with industrial-strength 256-bit encryption. It can serve as your network's DHCP Server, has a powerful SPI firewall to protect your PCs against intruders and most known Internet attacks, and supports VPN pass-through. Configuration is a snap with the web browser-based configuration utility.
With the Linksys RangePlus Wireless Router at the center of your home or office network, you can share a high-speed Internet connection, files, printers, and multi-player games, and run media-intensive applications at incredible speeds, without the hassle of stringing wires!

I've had the Linksys WRT110 since July '08 & haven't had any problems with it yet. At 1 point I had 2 Desktops & 4 Laptops connected to it & didn't suffer any lag in my internet service. At first when I was setting it up I had to call Linksys' Tech Support to get it set-up. Now that I know more about Routers I'm able to set it up in a matter of secs. I've cut back to only 2 Desktops connected to it now only due to the lack of laptops(friends) in the house now. Maybe I'll get myself a laptop.... :D

I have very mixed opinions on the Linksys WRT110 (Really, Cisco). My parents have one, and for their basic uses it is fine. Good signal strength/coverage, SIMPLE to setup, reasonably reliable. The web-interface organization is logical. Whenever they have a internet connectivity failure simply rebooting the WRT110 solves it.
HOWEVER: I bought a 2nd unit for my home, involving 3 hard-wired PC's, and 3 laptops. The unit consistently failed when I was establishing VPN tunnels from home to work. After power cycling the WRT110 I could VPN successfully, but I could not connect via VPN a 2nd time without rebooting the WRT110. Their tech. support was efficient, but had no usefull advice. The problems continued even after upgrading the WRT110 to the latest F/W levels. I returned the darn thing, and I'd NEVER recommend this unit for people needing to do VPN tunnels! I was extremely disapointed and frustrated by the WRT110, I expected far more from Cisco/Linksys.

I just replaced a Level One router with this one. The difference is astonishing. The signal is steady, fast and covers all three floors of my old house. It was incredibly easy to install, and I was able to add a couple of laptops without a hitch. I've had it a couple of days, so this may not be the end of the story, but I'm impressed.
