Great replacement for older stereo systems player
Fit right into dedicated Pioneer cabinet. Looks like my wife can't mess this one up when she moves furniture around. Horizontal trays for discs protect them very well.

Good disc handling.
I have another 5 disc changer that stopped working properly after just a few months. Disc changing on the Sony seems to be designed very well. It can copy music to a USB drive but will not copy music titles to the thumb drive. That's what the instruction booklet says. I decided not to record to a drive if it just labels them track 1, track 2 etc. I will use the USB port for play back only. It records the tracks in mp3 format on the thumb drive. Stick to the PC for creating music files with titles.

My first Sony Carousel lasted 25 Years
This is my second Sony Carousel, my first lasted 25 years and preformed flawlessly, but I did have to clean the optics several time. I have the unit playing in the backgroud 8-15 hours daily so I wore it out but it had no repairs. The new changer worked right out the box and as well as the first changer but is a little noisy changing discs in the shuffle mode but I can live with that. It's a great changer for the price..... Good product for the price
CD players for modular systems are a dying breed, so this is a good no nonsense, no bells and whistles type player. Not the best of the best sound wise, but does the job well for my system from the early nineties. Installation was a breeze. Just plug in the white and red from your amp and plug in the player to an outlet and you are good to go. Took less than five minutes from opening the box! Exchange feature is nice. You can change and or add discs to the tray without interrupting play of the current disc.
