Got My Vote
Small learning curve; very powerfull, cool operation, 7.1 is awesome; abundant BASS to rock the room, great seperation at all levels and offers true sound from higs to lows. My advice; match up your surround speakers using Sony tuned speakers. I used all Sony except the Polk Center speaker which I found to be better than the Sony Center speaker.

Excellent product for the price
Very pleased with this receiver. Great product for the price. Sounds GREAT. Only downside is the passive standby. If you feed your TV through the receiver, it has to be on for the TV to work. Would have preferred that it had this option, otherwise....LOVE IT!

Great for the price
The only downside i found is they say its passive in standby .i found i had to turn it on to pass a signal to the tv . so i wired around it for just watching tv .

Great bang for buck
You can't find a better receiver for the price. My only complaint is that I also had to purchase a powered sub since it doesn't work with passive subs.

not worth sending back
one corner of the box was fractured,must of been dropped,may be the reason that none of the video inputs feed thru to the video output,so,I had to run seperate video RCA cable to the TV from each video device.so it doesn't work correctly,but it works well enough to keep in my garage. It does sound great though,the speaker seperation is much better than the old receiver, I don't think it's worth the time and trouble to send it back since it is working even though it's not working the way it was designed to work.
