Regular Vs. XL Ink Cartridge
To explain. By Regular I mean the regular HP Cartridge that you find most places, the XL cartridge from HP does TWICE the job if not more. Ink quality is excellent, pricing is better than any place I have found in stores or on any of the various online ink suppliers I have found. I have also tried the off brand cartrides that claim to match this item in quality and quantity of prints jobs and they just do not compare to the HP 901XL Black Ink Cartridge in quality or output.

Best cartridge for this printer series
Yea it does cost more than the regular yield cartridge, but it actually does have more than three times the yield and for someone that prints a lot everyday it cannot be beat.

Best Choice for this cartridge number
I am disappointed that HP is putting a small amount of ink in the printer setup package, but then maybe they are doing for the folks that don't print much and let their ink dry up. The XL cartridge is the way to go for people that print a lot. It is pricy for the amount of ink you get. Older cartridges were larger and about the same price, guess that is the way of the economy. Get less pay more.

Great Deal
This ink cartridge prints three times the amount of black pages as the non XL version and is only double the price. It's almost like buying two of the regular ones and getting one free.
