Bought 2 and both died
Bought 2 of these. After a year or so one power supply died, then a unit died. So paired the good power supply and good unit, but then that one died too. Above average usage but not extreme. Just going to go with a usb adapter now.

So easy
Not as durable as I would like, just have to be very careful inserting and removing hard drives. Works very well and is very simple to use. The eSATA is very fast, the hard drive speed is what will slow you down not the dock. Very pleased.

Best HD Dock I ever bought
I've had a few HD docks. This one is for our server so I can back up the RAID. I drop in a spare drive, use the rsync command, and walk away. I got this one specifically for the eSata port. It seems roughly twice as fast as USB when backing up hard drives. It has a nice finish and seems well built. Bonus: it also comes with a PCI plate with a cable to connect to motherboard header if your computer doesn't have an eSata port. Very happy with this purchase.

Best Hard Drive Dock I Own.
I've tried many different hard drive dock's and by far this is the best. What I love most about it is that it powers off the drive until it is accessed. The e-sata interface allows for very quick transfer of large files. Another great feature is the eject button for the drive. The quality of this unit is very good.

All around acceptable but not great
This device is easy to set up and works with Windows XP, Vista and Win7 both 32bit & 64bit. SATA hard drives do not always seat properly. You must carefully make sure the drive seats all the way down. Probably could use some updated design. Some 1.0 TB drives do not work in this unit. No cooling fan either.

Salvage made easy
This system is small yet powerful. Takes no space on the desk. Just plug in your hard drive and start working. I was able to salvage files from a har drive that would not boot to windows saving my department days of re-entry work.

Storage at desk made easy
Improved storage transfers from my old P3 1000 very easy. A SATA PCI card to the device revived the utility of the old desktop.

Great Product for Transferring Data
I have purchased 3 of these, we use them to transfer data to each others cpu's for information and backup purposes one thing nice about we can run directly from these units if need be.

Great Dock
I have two of them and over 6 months neither one has had any problems. Being able to swap drives in and out from where I want to have files accessible to everyone is very easy.
