Prevent Access to Dangerous Web Sites
Block access to inappropriate Internet content or lock down the Internet completely. Receive an e-mail notification if your child attempts to visit a blocked or restricted site.

Pornography, hate sites, drug sites, questionable chat rooms, illegal downloads - all can easily be blocked from innocent eyes with KidsWatch. This software offers several different ways of doing this. A parent can block access to inappropriate web site content by simply selecting content you would like to restrict from over 60 categories, (i.e. adult, vice, criminal, instant messaging, etc.)

When your children try to go to a prohibited site, it is blocked. When they try to access mature or otherwise blocked keywords, they can't. Our dynamic content categorization technology attempts to categorize thousands, even millions, of websites based on content.

You can even prevent access to uncategorized content for maximum protection. Our software also supports white / black lists. In other words, you can put a restricted/trusted site in an override list allowing or prohibiting access despite the categories that were selected. You can also use temporary passwords to bypass filtering for a set period of time and if you don't agree with a particular categorization, you can file a dispute.

Our designers are constantly adding to our list of dangerous websites. Even international pornography sites that do not use English words can be blocked. Though we try to block everything, there is no guarantee that we will eliminate access to all sites. If you come across a site that is not blocked and should be, please let us know so we can block it in future.

With our blocked sites alert you will be notified if your child attempts to visit a restricted web site.

The visited sites report will list each site visited and the number of times a particular site was visited including a link which will allow you to visit the same exact page.

You can also see what programs your children use and for how long and when they were on the computer.

You can choose how often you receive these reports. But regardless of the interval, they give you an added measure of security when it comes to your children's interaction on the Internet.

Stop Internet Dangers
Receive e-mail alerts when a suspect phase or word is encountered in a chat conversation. So for example if your child is holding an instant messenger conversation with another party and the word kill is part of that conversation an e-mail can be sent out alerting you of this which will include an excerpt from the chat conversation. Our chat reports will provide the entire conversation so you can see the entire context of what was said by whom.

The list of suspect words or phases that are looked for is customizable. KidsWatch currently ships with a list of 1,630 words and phrases.

Another example of how this feature can be used... receive a notification if your child is giving out your home address or telephone number. To facilitate this, add these items to the suspect words / phrases list so if they are encountered during a chat conversation you will be sent an e-mail alert.

Receive e-mail alerts when a sexual offender moves into your neighborhood.

KidsWatch offers an extra layer of protection for parents by providing information about known sex offenders. Just enter your street address and a map will appear, showing the exact location of registered sex offenders living within your area. Clicking on a colored dot shows the user the offender's name, photo and address.

Additionally, KidsWatch users can sign up to receive free e-mail alerts when sex offenders move into their neighborhood. This service is provided through Family Watchdog, the recognized leader in tracking registered sex offenders. Their information is provided by the U.S. Department of Justice and databases for all fifty states.
