Lets try another Western Digital
I had 2 Western Digital hard drives in my past. The first one was a 500G, 3.5, 7200PRM that lasted about 6 months. WD was good about replacing it with a refurbished HDD and in a timely manner. However, that one only lasted only about 4-6 months and I swore NEVER to buy another WD HDD. Recently my sister brought me her destop PC (4-5 years old) and the problem was a bad HDD (not WD). This WD HDD was the closest replacement to the one she had before as well and the cheapest. For the price, I thought what the heck. LAST CHANCE WD!!!

Awesome HD
This was the first HD and OS I have installed into a PC so I was a little worried but everything went in as planned and is up and running like a brand new PC.
