My PC never shuts down unless I want it to.
I've had APC UPS's at home for several years, after a storm dropped in through the USB port from my printer and took out the motherboard's video. Prior to that, I used only APC surge protectors. Thereafter, with the APC UPS, I could protect the printer as well as the PC, to care for the whole unit. It also keeps anything from coming in through the Internet connection (whether ethernet or modem). I especially appreciated the fact that this unit is Green. I think I have had it about two years and there has not been one problem with it--wrong--The software keeps telling me it can't communicate with it...even though it does. Personally, I would NOT consider operating a computer in central Texas without using a UPS.

Great, except software is PC only
Solid performer that I got to replace an older APC unit after the battery went. Built like a tank. I just wish the software ran on a Mac and not just Windows.

Great product and reliable company
I had an earlier model and the battery went. I decided to upgrade to the larger model and ordered this unit. It performs great and so far has been reliable.

We use APC exclusively for UPS Battery Backups. Our power goes out several times every winter and these are the only thing that hold up well.

Great Product
Lost power just hours after installing unit and was able to continue working on laptop for nearly an hour before power slowed down, allowing me to complete an on line meeting via e-mail.

If you are looking for a great battery back-up that will provide you just enough time to close your programs and save your work, look no further! This is a perfect replacement for that old power strip you already have and its honestly not that much bigger (13x7x3.5)
