great deal
The slim black design and ease of use makes this a must have for backing up data and files. Laptop drives are less prone to failure and having this unit to go between all my computers is a convenience beyond measure.

Good Quality
Simple to use. I can easily take it with me on the go. Makes it a snap to store large amounts of information. I can now backup my laptop with ease as well. Great product, good price, and its even hot swappable too.

An OK product, but HD is a bit loose inside
I like the elegant look of this thing, it's nice and compact, it's convenient (especially being self-powered by the USB) but its mechanical design has a flaw IMHO. The drive isn't tightly held inside at the far end and it rattles, making the whole thing seem cheap. I had to find and insert a couple drive bracket mounting screws of just the right type in the far end of the drive to take up the slack.

Perfect Little Box
Small,inexpensive and does what its supposed to do.Looked at best buy and they had one for 60 bucks that does the same thing and was not even close to portable.I buy ALL my computer stuff here and always will.

As advertised
A terrific product at a terrific price. I use the Vantec on drives I use for backup. I don't even bother with the case. If I did use the case for any reason, I wouldn't use the small screws. Just use a small piece of tape instead. This is my 5'th Vantec head and all have been perfect and trouble free.

Kept Simple
This enclosure was very easy to setup. Worked flawlessly. I used it as a home for a laptop disk that had a bad sector on it. I installed a new drive in the laptop and put the old one in the enclosure. My daughter was then able to get all of her music off the old drive and still use it for temp storage. Just make sure you do not drop the very small screws and have a eyeglass screw driver for the installation.

good equip
Bought this after upgradeing my ps3 HDD. used old harddrive to work with the external caseing. had np did exactly what it was designed for. now on top of ps3 HDD i have an external running on it also for even more space
