I've been with Shure since Iraq. I was deployed the second time and spent a majority of my time flying around in Blackhawks from one base to another. These earbuds allowed me to keep my soundtrack running on my iPod at only 10% volume. Regularly operating 12 hours or more at a time. I've tried others that were cheaper and all had design defects or didn't fit well enough to cancel out the noise of the turbine - normally not enough to block out the grunts of others in the gym for that matter.
This is my second set in the last 5 years, just picked it up, and although I'd like to have been able to afford the upgraded version, I'm more than satisfied with this version.
Well worth the money.
