I replaced a Linksys WR54G with this Netgear and find it to provide a stronger signal consistently. |

I used this to replace an older Netgear router that finally quit. Good thing I knew the default login username and password, cause it doesn't have a manual to tell you. After you log in it checks for upgrades by itself (can be disabled, if you desire).
Setup was easy and coverage is great all over my house - even outside in the yard. We are using a variety of laptops having old and new wireless adapters. |

This router worked well in the room where the router was. If I walked into another room I could not get a signal off of it. If you plan on only needing the router for one room then buy it. If you want to get wireless coverage over your entire house then buy another router. |

I love this recertified Netgear Wireless Router! If you are looking for a wireless router for your home or business, I would recommend this device! This product does things that I couldn't get my Linksys router to do. In addition to the faster connections and better reception at long distances, it was able to see my network properly. This device allows me to manually enter a static IP device address and Internet routing options, and to my surprise it worked. Not only did the device automatically route connected computers to the Internet, it allowed them to see all my computers on my network. I could never get any of my Linksys routers to do this, I used the flaws of the Linksys devices as a security feature, now I have to turn on WEP to protect my network! I bought this for my sister's network, but now she gets my old router. |

As with other NetGear products I have bought, this one works well and is no trouble to set up. The range is great (I live in an inlaw apartment behind my daughter's garage, and the router is located in her second-floor office). I didn't hesitate to buy a recertified product. |
