I'm a believer in wired communication being more secure than wireless, so turning off the radio in this unit and setting up the household network was a joy.
It would take a visible wire to be plugged in for somebody to pirate internet off of our network.
Is everything we hoped it would be - and more

This product was purchased for a non-profit Cable Access Television studio - to service three powerful laptops and other networkable devices. Went in smoothly and has performed above and beyond expectations, easily reaching the main studio as well as the offices where it is installed. The only minor negative might be the documentation where some of the "English" didn't quite translate into pure American...
Has a serious flaw, in my opinion

Looking at the specs., I do not see anything that says this router can not be added after another router.
However, when I tried adding it to my wired network, I found out that at least this Netgear router could not support this configuration, that it needs to see the modem directly. Unfortunately, my modem is in the basement, it did work there, but it is asking the router a lot to give good connectivity 3 floors away.
Had to return it, the Belkin replacment is working fine.

I have this router connected to my Gateway Desktop E-6500D SB Computer with a 10/100/1000 Gigabit Xtreme Ethernet Adapter with Optimum Online Ultra Service giving me downstream speeds averaging 101mb/sec and upstream speeds of 15mb/sec. Netgear routers are known for their reputation as excellent routers, especially this one which has 8 internal antennas and able to broadcast up to 300mb/sec wirelessly with MAC filtering alone at 802.11n. The router can be set to 802.11g @ 54mb/sec for BlockBuster OnDemand 2Wire STB and unchecking WiFi Multimedia Settings under QoS Setup for compatability, however losing some speed performance as an outcome. The WN121T is an excellent Wireless USB 802.11n for my other computer Gateway NX860S Notebook. I also use a 10/100/1000 Gigabit Ethernet to USB adapter for my Dell Inspiron 6000 Notebook Computer, but the best connection speed I am able to use is with the Gateway E-6500D SB Desktop with 4GB of DDR2 800Mhz FSB and 2 Dual-Core Processing 3.00Ghz.
