Does a Great Job
I was scared at first, but then I did my research, and sure enough it was worth it. Small hesitation switching channels like satellite. The remote is great! All the bad reviews must of had issues with their operating system. My set-up was fast and easy and the longest wait was the initial channel scan. Catalyst Media Center has closed caption and a onscreen guide to see what's playing and a little about it. Get the latest updates though. O.S windows xp pro i5 4g ram 9800gt 22

Ideal for VHS Dubbing
I was looking for something to dub VHS home movies to DVD and stumbled on this card. Install a bit tricky until I got latest drivers from website (recommended ). After that, flawless operation, video and audio excellent. Dubbed movies from VCR video out port to card input then used Windows Moviemaker to burn file to DVD. System--HP Quadcore 4G ram, Vista Op Sys.

Interfered with Video
Installed the card, The DVI output of my Intel X3100 Video stopped working, (the VGA continued to work.) Removed the card, and the DVI video started to work again. Diamond support was reasonably responsive but couldn't fix it. I'm returning it and I'm going to try the PCI version of the same card. I'd try another brand, except it sounds like my experience is typical for users of any brand of TV tuner card. Diamond does not yet have a driver for Windows 7.

works w win 7
Works well with Windows 7 Media Player. I do not care about HD channels since I use this mostly as my DVR for weekday programs. Software that come with card does not have Windows 7 support.

Buyer beware
Under windows XP and the new windows 7 works fine under both, but if your cable supplier uses anything over channel 100 like comcast does for HD channels, do not get this since most HD channels are over 100 ie: 103.112 is USA network, a hd ready TV can pick this up, this card cannot. This will be brought back.
