I purchaed the Bose Companion Series II to attach to my laptop, and use for listening to music and watching DVDs. They came right out of the box, plugged in, and worked perfect right away. I tried cheaper speakers before I bought these, and they blew out within a month. My advice; spend the extra money, and get the quality and value of Bose. They sound great!!

Sound is very nice for such small speakers. The only real knock? There's no on/off switch, a feature so obvious I didn't even think of checking for it. That's an oops, Bose!

I bought these Bose Companion 2 Series II speakers as an add on for my 50" plasma TV, I needed an audio cable with the red/white connectors on both ends, which I picked up at a local shop, and I was pleased at the added sound dimension they provided, being pleasantly surprised at the bass tones this pair of speakers produced.

She hated the other computer speakers she had so I purchased the companion 2 series 2 she loves these and tells me every time i see her this is my sixth product from Bose so i am a huge fan quality that never will go out of style
