Great System Awesome Performance

After checking out a friends 1000W Onkyo System, I knew that this 660W would be plenty. This system has GREAT sound quality! The unit JAMS! Neighbors aren't going to like my new Christmas gift. I highly recommend Onkyo as a home stereo system. You will not be dissapointed!!

Great system for the cost.

I got this system on a black friday special for about $250. I have to say, I am impressed. It works really great. Seems to have great surround sound, and the sub-woofer shakes my house. Since it controls the HDMI inputs, it makes it easier for me to use my various systems in one shot. My only disappointment is that after all these years, receivers are still giant boxes. ;-)

Great system for the price

Picked this system up for my parents Christmas present. Overall it is a great system for a small to medium room. It is easy to setup and easy enough for them to use. Would have liked a powered sub, but this one puts out a decent bit of bass. Receiver is also nice. Note it is a step down from stand alone receiver models. It is not as good as my NR609, but it has all the feel of an Onkyo system. Also of note is that the Audessey settings are manual input. Wouldn't recommend this for a large room or an audiophile, but it's perfect for a budget conscious shopper.

Great Product !!! Awesome Sound

Great product for the value, the sound is clear very strong reciever. Only flaw i see is the bass should be a little bigger or heavier, if it would be powered that will be great. And the Ipod dock station should be included with this model.

Great Product!

Good receiver and speakers. Could be a little louder through the RCA jack but good enough for the price. HDMI output will probably be louder but haven't tried it yet. Good looking system and happy with it!

Great product at the price

I'm not an audiophile so I don't think I could tell the difference between a high end and low end piece of equipment. This system however, greatly improved the sound of our TV (we were using just the TV speaker set). I was lucky enought to get it on special at $200.00 delivered. Easy to setup, had it working within 20-30 minutes. Just one complaint, the remote is only universal for other Onkyo (not good for non-Onkyo systems.) So we had to get a universal remote, which actually ended up being a good thing because of all the features it has :) Overall, really a great deal and a very possitive experience.

Big Xmas surprise!

I bought this item on black Friday for $179 as a gift for my boyfriend. We set it up today for Christmas, and are very pleased with the system. We do have to purchase a few cables, but it was extremely easy to set up(I worked for an electronics store at one time, so that helped). System was ready to go in about 30 minutes. Sound quality is excellent, and even when the volume is low it is very clear. Perfect for a multi-system house with many different electronics. I'm very pleased!

Nice product

I purchased this as a black Friday sale item for $199. Great value! Sound and quality are excellent. My only gripe is a confusing user interface and poor description of the options. I'm an Electronics Engineer by education and I had to study the user manual for hours when I can usually figure things out by tossing the user manual and relying on intuition. Otherwise, great product at a great price, even if it were $300 I would recommend.

Almost worked perfectly

A very polished product with color coded wires and connections, clear directions, and helpful support via phone. However, after going through hours of tech support and two units, we were unable to get a 1080p signal to pass through the unit. From a Panasonic Blue-Ray player or PS3, both would only work with 1080p disabled while using the Onkyo system. I ended up buying a Yahama system that worked first time. It's said that Onkyo quality has fallen this far.

Really excellent product

I have already JVC home theater but this one is really excellent, the performance of the system is outstandng.
