Wow, where to begin? Maybe my expectations are bit high, but I at least expect a brand new PC to work out of the box. Not so you say? If so you would be right. Immediately after power on saw a couple of media errors, but not being a techie, I figured it would load up and bypass this. Then it stalled and gave me blue screen of death. After re-starting it then asked for drivers. Tried the XP, Vista and Media disk provided. No go. Went with this PC maker because it was made/assembled in the US. This must what it means these days to buy US. If so, I will pass, thank you. RMA'd. Going HP made in India.

This is the best machine. I sure would buy it again. The only bad thing is I had to pay $55.00 to have it shipped back to Systemax when the ram failed. This is not good when the customer service is so good.

I have had nothing but good experiences with this computer. It comes pre-loaded with XP right out of the box with restore disc (rare these days), and also has the install disc for Vista business. I bought a second 500gb hard disk and installed Vista onto that, now I have a dual boot machine with 1 terabyte storage! The graphics card handles every modern game I have installed with ease, especially under Vista and Direct X 10. The case is simple to open and components are easy to access for upgrading/cleaning. If you know how I would suggest that you remove the limiting jumper from the Seagate hard drive so it will operate at full 3 Gbps instead of being locked at 1.5 Gbps. That is the only negative thing I saw with this machine, and it is still VERY fast with the jumper in place. Oh, and you REALLY should splurge for a decent mouse and keyboard, the ones that ship with this machine do not do it justice.

It amazes me how many people rated this machine 5 stars and then went on to explain the trouble they had with it.
My experience with it was horrible. Machine repeatedly blue screened and crashed. I called support (they answered in 3 minutes) and they told me that my video cable was probably loose. I opened the box to reseat all cables. What a piece of junk this computer was! Everything was loose in this box. Video card connections were really loose, as were ALL connections. Computer was also really loud when it was running.
I sent it right back to Tiger and exchange it for an HP. The HP computer, I love it!

I spent 9 weeks trying to choose a computer to replace my ageing (circa 2000) PC. I was disgusted with the many negative reviews the ''Big Boys'' were having regarding product quality and poor ''off-shore'' service help when needed. It was all too apparent they don't care about the consumer, and I won't support a company with that attitude. If you feel that way also, then you can feel comfortable in choosing any of the Systemax PC's. They are made right here in the USA (Ohio) and their service is provided by ''Supportforyourpc'', a 24/7 based in the USA.
I had my N4000 delivered as promised, worked great... right out of the box. 2 weeks later, I lost sound. After a few checks, I called for warranty service. I made it thru the phone firewall in less than 1 minute and was speaking with Phil (speaks English). In just 10 minutes time, I was up and running. This is service, and thanks to Tiger, a great buying experience with no bad taste left in my mouth. - Notch8

Okay, this IS the same computer I bought, it's just that when I bought it it came with a Q6600 not a Q7000. Anyways, it's a VERY nice computer and I've only had a few problems. One it came shipped intact, but the cables connecting everything on the inside where all unplugged and so I had to go in and reroute them myself. Second the top disk drive does not seem to work properly. It only reads when it wants to, so you have to remove and put in the disk multiple times (this happens with all the disks I have tried). It also makes strange rhythmic beeping sounds (directly from the drive) when it can't read it but does not show any error. Overall I'd say it's a very well built computer, and the drive is not close to being enough to warrant a return. The customer service is also great, it's American, just like they said, and they are very friendly and knowledgeable. AS

I purchased two of these units to replace the old gaming PCs that my wife and I use. I chose this unit because it had a lot of the same components that a trusted friend used when building his own machine from scratch. For my PC, I had to wait for it to arrive to find that the internal harddrive is a Seagate 7200.10 500GB drive, which I then matched and reinstalled using the on-board RAID1. Loading Windows XP off the supplied disk proved tricky, since this unit has no floppy drive, and XP will ONLY read the raid drivers off a floppy at install time. I googled up instructions on how to rebuild the install CD with the raid drivers included, and then it loaded up just fine. My wife didn't want the redundant drive in her machine, so she's using it as installed in the factory, and it works fine for her as well. Great systems, nicely built.

After much research I decided to order this from Tiger Direct because it came with both Windows XP & Vista. It is a great computer. I use it mostly for home use, downloading and editing digital photos and videos, music, MS Office. It is very fast and well built, offers great features and has plenty of room for up-grades. The only weak thing is the keyboard and mouse that came with it. They are Microsoft brand but very cheap. I purchased a high quality keyboard and mouse and it makes the system even more impressive. I would buy it again.

Bought this system mainly for video editing,Hd and SD. Great build quality, really good parts and future proofed. xfx motherboard, xfx 8600gt video card. ok ram Seagate 3gbs sata HD intel quad q6600 all great for video. decent cooling on the motherboard and pretty good cpu cooler. Other thoughts : would have liked acronis true image to come with system, would have paid extra for it as it's great for system restore. No junkware a major plus. Love the fact that it include the xp discs and driver disc as well as the vista business upgrade disc and vista software disc as well, hard feature to get these days from major computer manufacturers. Well done tigerdirect and Systemax!
