Doesn't quite work as advertised
Would not pass data thru the E-Sata port even though I followed instructions re order to plug in USB cable last. The only way to use E-Sata is to connect external 5Volt adapter, without any USB connection. Defeats my purpose for mobile use. Would be a good deal if it performed as advertised.

Great deal, but connector is Iffy
Bought this because of the eSATA connector, great deal for the product, am still impressed with eSATA speeds. However, the drive will often just not be recognized. Or lord help you if you have more than 1 partition, it has trouble continuing to recognize them all. Other than that, speeds are great, value is great, but make sure it's connected directly to a USB, NOT through a hub (unless a powered hub)

exceptionally easy
This was exactly what I needed. I did have to contact customer support because I made a mistake. They were excellent and prompt. This was my first experience with an external drive and I am very happy with it.
